The journey to creating Umbrella Environmental began in 2009 when Todd and Tina became SERVPRO franchise owners. During their time running their TWO franchises, they encountered a significant challenge: when their restoration projects required asbestos testing or abatement, the wait times were excessive and the costs were prohibitive. They regularly faced situations where they had waited multiple weeks from abatement vendors just to show up to conduct testing, followed by additional time waiting for results and estimates to complete the work, not to mention for the actual work to be scheduled and completed.
This experience revealed a clear opportunity to better serve their community. Instead of continuing to rely on slow, expensive third-party services, they made the strategic decision to become certified in asbestos abatement themselves. This decision allowed them to provide faster, more cost-effective services to their customers.
From this expertise and commitment to improving service delivery, Umbrella Environmental was born. Their transition from franchise owners to specialized environmental service providers was driven by a simple yet powerful idea: environmental safety services shouldn't be slow, expensive, or complicated.

Small Jobs Welcome
While some asbestos and/or lead companies will not consider projects under $50,000, we specialize in smaller jobs and welcome them. Whether it's a $650 asbestos removal project or a larger undertaking, we believe every environmental safety concern deserves prompt, professional attention. Ultimately, we consider ourselves a company willing to take on smaller projects but are more than willing to take on the larger ones as well.
